During halftime of the Charlotte Bobcats game against the Utah Jazz, the Bobcats will be unveiling their new identity. We all have known that the Bobcats will be going back to the beloved Charlotte Hornets look, but for those hoping that the old logo would return, it’s time to brace for a new look.

Right before tip-off, it was announced that the Bobcats would not just be pulling the old Hornets logo to use moving forward.

Instead, they have reworked the logo to give fans a taste of the old tradition while still making something new and fresh.

From Ben Swanson of Rufus on Fire:

As long as the logo isn’t too corny, the new Charlotte look should be a hit.

The old Charlotte Hornets logo and color scheme was one of the best that we have ever seen from the hardwood, so let’s hope that the organization doesn’t screw up an opportunity to please the fan base and give NBA fans around the league something that they are satisfied with.
