This week, the Duke Blue Devils got themselves another win in their unofficial second home of Madison Square Garden when they took down the UCLA Bruins in the CarQuest Classic.

What was most notable from the game itself was the fact that stud freshman Jabari Parker had himself another stellar outing, going for 23 points and 10 rebounds.

But, Parker wasn’t the biggest star in the Garden on that night. Neither was his legendary coach, Mike Krzyzewski. No, as ESPN showed multiple times throughout the evening, rock music icon The Boss was in the house to take in the festivities.

On the Dan Patrick Show on Friday, Coach K even made reference to how big of a star Bruce Springsteen is by joking that he contemplated burning a timeout late in the game to go meet the man behind ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ and countless other hits:

Late in the game, Duke had the game well in hand, so this might have been something that the Duke coach could have pulled off. I would have. But then again, that’s why I don’t coach major college basketball.
