You know that saying where people moan about the rich getting richer. It’s a cliché we all use a few times a week these days but it took on a whole new meaning on Saturday when Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco walked into a 7-11 and purchased a lottery ticket for the Mega Millions jackpot.

He apparently cut in front of Ravens fan Rob Owen who struck up a conversation with Flacco and posted visual evidence of the encounter on his Twitter account.

Flacco inked a deal with the Ravens this offseason that pays him a guaranteed $52 million but the mega Millions jackpot is currently sitting at $648 million. Before you start blasting Flacco for wanting the entire pot of gold despite the fact that he’s has $52 million sitting in his bank right now, it’s likely that a majority of the winnings would go to charity.

Still, even if Rob Owen doesn’t win the lottery, he still walked out of that Baltimore 7-11 with more than he walked in with. It’s not everyday that you just happen to bump into the quarterback of your favorite team and it’s not everyday that said quarterback is buying a lottery ticket. Owen followed up his meeting with Flacco by blasting the old quarterback of the Ravens, Trent Dilfer, on Twitter.

Rob is on a roll today.
