There’s no doubt LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet, but when it comes to his allegiances with sports teams – he’s considered to be a bit of a front runner.

An Ohio native, one would presume that James would root for Cleveland based teams like the Browns and Indians. But James, in the most bandwagon of ways has supported the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys, likely the two most popular teams in professional sports (at least based in the United States).

James could have solidified the trifecta by admitting that he rooted for the Los Angeles Lakers before entering the NBA, but he’s suggested he was more of a Chicago Bulls fan due to Michael Jordan (shocking).

Now in fairness to James, he has remained pretty loyal to both the Yankees and Cowboys, though raised a few eyebrows when he was captured wearing a Kansas City Chiefs jersey after Miami’s victory over the Sacramento

Kings on Friday night.

James took questions at his locker wearing a number six jersey – so either he’s really good friends with Ryan Succop or he decided to go with customized threads.

Why James was wearing the jersey remains an unknown – I’m going to guess he either lost a bet or was sent the jersey by a friend on the team considering he’s given them a shout-out on Twitter before:

Or maybe he’s just as embarrassed as everybody else about the Cowboys.
