Nick Foles one of many NFL players fined for week 15

This past week, there were many plays that brought about fines. All varied in price range, going from $7,875 to as high as $15,750. Let’s take a look; according to the Associated Press,

Nick Foles, quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, was fined $10,000 for a “illegal peel-back block” on Erin Henderson of the Minnesota Vikings.

"Foles went down low at Henderson’s knees, drawing a penalty and negating DeSean Jackson’s 18-yard touchdown in the second quarter."

The $15,750 fine went to Marcus Benard of the Arizona Cardinals, who got a roughing the passer penalty on Ryan Fitzpatrick of the Tennessee Titans.

As for the other fines,

"Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington was also docked $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct.Also in that game, Titans defensive end Kamerion Wimbley was fined $10,000 for hitting Arizona quarterback Carson Palmer in the knee area.Fined $7,875 by the NFL were: Indianapolis’ Gosder Cherilus (for punching Houston’s J.J. Watt), Cincinnati’s Dre Kirkpatrick (facemask), Baltimore’s Matt Elam (hitting a quarterback who slid feet-first) and St. Louis’ Eugene Sims (for a hit on New Orleans’ Darren Sproles)."
