Just a short time ago, the Philadelphia Eagles finished up demolishing the Chicago Bears at home by a final score of 54-11. Earlier in the day on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys completed a huge come-from-behind win over the Washington Redskins, 24-23, behind some late-game heroics from Tony Romo and the offense.

These two events coupled together have now set up a showdown next Sunday for all of the NFC East glory.

Next Sunday night, the Eagles will travel to Dallas for a contest that will now decide the 2013 NFC East championship. In Week 7, the Cowboys won the first meeting between the two, 17-3.

However, as was evidenced tonight and has been shown over the last several weeks, this Eagles offense is playing on an entirely different level than they were back then. They’ve progressively gotten better as the weeks have gone along, and Nick Foles has emerged as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, seem to be hanging on by threads, as usual.

With the way Philadelphia has been playing lately and factor in the Cowboys’ affinity for not being able to show up in December in crucial situations, this match up has the makings of possibly being an instant classic, one way or another.
