The Washington Redskins were thought to be the favorite in the NFC East division after rookie’s Robert Griffin and Alfred Morris brought this team back to life a year ago.

That hasn’t been the case this year. Right now the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are battling it out for the division crown and both Dallas and Philly are in must win games. Washington can play spoilers for Dallas with a victory today and help out the Eagles who host the Chicago Bears later on tonight.

With last years Rookie of the Year sitting on the bench, second year pro Kirk Cousins has picked up the slack and tried to turn things around. Cousins has completed 17 of 26 passing attempts for 169 yards and one touchdown. His only touchdown of the game so far going to veteran wide receiver Pierre Garcon.

Garcon has 11 receptions for over 140 receiving yards with a whole quarter left to play. He’s proven to be a huge piece of this offense as he’s recorded his 107th reception of the year, a franchise record.

The touchdown made it 13-14.
