When Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick went down with his latest injury earlier in the season, he watched Nick Foles steal the show and the team’s starting job. With Vick’s contract expiring in the offseason, many wondered what that would mean for his future.

Many believed that Vick would be looking to head to a different team in the offseason where he could compete for the starting job, but now it looks like Vick could be changing his tune.

According to the latest reports, Vick is willing to return to the Eagles in 2014 as Foles’ back up.

From Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:

A healthy Vick would be a valuable asset to any roster, so having him back in Philadelphia to back up Foles could prove to be a move that the Eagles would like to make.

By having Vick as the team’s back up, he will avoid most of the punishment that he takes due to his reckless style and he could avoid having another injury plagued season.
