Patriots dominate Ravens in big win, 41-7
By Mike Dyce
The New England Patriots went to Baltimore and just dominated the Ravens. They took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and were still leading at the half 17-0. They extended that lead to 20-0 by the end of the third quarter.
That is when the Patriots really began to pour it on.
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco scrambled for the Ravens first touchdown early in the fourth quarter. That capped a nine-play 90 yard drive and gave the Ravens hope with 9:24 left in the game.
The Patriots marched down the field and scored on a eight-play 48-yard drive to extend the lead to 27-7 with just over two minutes left. The scoring play was an seven-yard run from LeGarrette Blount.
At this point the Ravens substituted in back up quarterback Tyrod Taylor for Flacco.
On the following possession, Ravens running back Gino Gradkowski fumbled the ball in the end zone and Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones recovered for the touchdown. On the next drive Taylor threw an interception to Tavon Wilson. That pick was returned 74-yards for the interception.
That pushed the scoreline to 41-7 giving the Patriots a big win. Even though the Patriots scored 21 points in the fourth quarter, they were in control this whole game. The Ravens threw three interceptions and fumbled once.
