The Pittsburgh Steelers have a very slim chance of making the postseason after a slow start to the regular season, but they remain technically alive. If a perfect storm happens, the Steelers could still make the playoffs, but they would need plenty of help.

Obviously, the Steelers need to win out in order to make the postseason, but what else will need to happen?

The New York Jets would need to win out and the Miami Dolphins will need to lose their final two games in order for the Steelers to make the playoffs. The Baltimore Ravens will also need to lose out, while the San Diego Chargers must lose one of their final two games.

If all of that plays out perfectly, then there will be five teams tied at 8-8.

At that point, it will all be down to tie-breakers.

It won’t be easy for the Steelers to rebound from their 0-4 start to the year, but there is still a very small glimmer of hope.

So you’re saying there’s a chance…
