News has broken that Denver Broncos pass rusher Von Miller suffered a torn ACL when he went down in the game against the Houston Texans.  Miller had actually been trying to go back into the game, saying the knee felt stable enough to keep going.  This is terrible news for a team hoping to make a Super Bowl push as Miller is arguably the best player on their entire defense.

The timing of the injury could mean that Miller could have to start next year on the PUP list as well as losing the rest of this year, which makes the bad news that much worse.  This year has been an absolute disaster for Miller, who suffered issues off the field which caused him to be suspended six games to start the season.  If there is good news, it is that the Broncos have been able to survive without Miller, but the big question for the Broncos is their defense, losing Miller is absolutely devastating.

It remains to be seen if teams will rest players the last week of the season in the wake of this news, saving them for the playoffs, but this is a virtual lock to be a discussion for the rest of the week.
