On Monday night, Houston Rockets guard James Harden missed his second straight game and sixth overall of the season dealing with a high ankle sprain.

Harden, the tremendous scorer, has not played since December 15th. In the past two games that Harden has missed, the Rockets are 1-1, losing last night to the Dallas Mavericks 111-104.

The Rockets would love to get Harden back as they take on the San Antonio Spurs on Christmas Day. Harden talked about the progress his ankle has been making and said:

"The swelling went down, It’s still there but it’s improving. We will re-evaluate and I will try to do some work on it (on Tuesday) and go from there”"

If the Rockets can get back Harden for Christmas it will be a great gift and he is scoring 23.9 points per game and has 5.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game. He has an impact on the game in every facet and the Rockets will need it if they want to win tomorrow.

Harden also continued to say:

"I will keep icing it and getting treatment and hopefully be ready for Christmas Day.”"

The Rockets take on the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow at 8:00 pm ET on ESPN.
