Gilbert Arenas had a nice run in the NBA that saw him become one of the most talked about players for a period of time and even earned himself a nickname of Agent Zero. But after the locker room gun incident a few years back, Arenas has fallen off the face of the earth but he wants you to know that he has not retired from the game.

Speaking to TMZ, Arenas confirmed that he’s not retired from basketball and is instead attempting comeback that could see him trying to make an NBA roster as soon as this season. HoopsWorld’s Alex Kennedy reported that Arenas wants to return this year while TMZ posted that Arenas is eyeing a big 2014 comeback in his career.

A comeback is easier said than down when it comes to Arenas, even if players who worked out with him insist he’s in great shape. The game is constantly getting younger and faster and it’s harder and harder for older players to adapt. Arenas has been out of the league for a while now and as teams near a postseason push, he’ll beed to really prove his worth to earn a shot on a roster.

Still, it Greg Oden can make the Miami Heat roster, obviously Gilbert Arenas is well within logical thinking to believe he can contribute somewhere as well.
