You’ll never believe this – Brooklyn Nets swingman Paul Pierce is unhappy with his role.

Just days after suggesting he was content coming off the Nets’ bench – a role he had bestowed upon him after he returned from a broken hand – Pierce has had enough and wants more minutes, suggesting the lack of floor time is hurting his game:

"“When you’re coming off the bench, you’re not a primary option and when you sort of get in, you try to kind of force things,” he said. “You don’t get the looks every night that you usually were getting over the year. I’m usually the third of fourth option when I’m on the court and sometimes it’s going to be like that. Minutes over the last few games have been different. I played less minutes last game, less minutes this game. So when you have the inconsistency in the minutes, sometime you have inconsistency in your play.”"

The Nets have been horrible all season but have seemingly become worse with Pierce coming off the pine, something he obviously is aware of.

In fairness to Pierce, when asked about his bench role he was simply giving the politically correct response but now with the blowout losses continuing to pile up, he wants a change.
