The Pittsburgh Steelers will likely be making a number of changes to their roster in the offseason, as they look to get younger on the defensive side of the ball. Unfortunately, that means a number of veterans could be on the outs and one of those men is defensive end Brett Keisel.

Keisel has been a fan favorite in Pittsburgh, but he knows his days as a Steeler could be over. However, he still feels like he can help the team and he would love to return to Pittsburgh.

I feel like I can still play,” Keisel said, per Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.  “We will see what happens.  I try not to think about it too much because I am still here and still part of the team and still fighting with these guys.  When the time comes, I will sit down with my family and decide what is best.”

Keisel will watch his contract expire after the season and understands that the end may be near, but he is still hopeful that he can return to the Steelers to finish out his career.

“I know it’s a business,” Keisel said. “I bleed black and gold. Everybody knows that.  I am a Yinzer, and I love this city and plan on raising my family here.”

If the Steelers could get Keisel for cheap, it would be something that they will need to consider. At the very least, it is a move that the Steelers fans would love to see.
