The Buffalo Bills are preparing to take on the New England Patriots in the 2013 regular season finale and will be doing so without wide receiver Stevie Johnson.

This team has been struck with a couple tragedies this year which featured a murder suicide involving running back C.J. Spiller’s step father. It occurred while Spiller and the Buffalo Bills were playing a pre-season game against the Washington Redskins back in August.

Now wide receiver Stevie Johnson is dealing with a tragedy of his own. The Bills’ speedy slot receiver played against the Jacksonville Jaguars after finding out that his Mother, Rhonda Lewis died unexpectedly in California a day before the game.

They won, but I’m sure that didn’t help ease the pain when it came to losing the woman who gave him life. Thoughts and prayers sent out to Stevie Johnson and the rest of his family.

I can’t imagine the pain he’s feeling right now.

Johnson finished the year with 52 receptions for 597 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
