The Kansas City Chiefs have made themselves into serious contenders after coming off a terrible 2012 season.

With the additions of Andy Reid and Alex Smith, this team has completely turned around and will be preparing themselves for the playoffs. Everything this team has done so far this year has been great. They’ve had a couple ups and downs but that’s expected with a team that has a brand new head coach and starting quarterback.

At the beginning of the year, I figured this team would be a forced to be reckoned with in the next couple of seasons. I didn’t imagine their season going the way it has so far, them being one of the top teams in the AFC.

The AFC West has shown promising signs of being an exciting division with the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and hopefully the San Diego Chargers in the years to come.

Now when it comes to Sunday’s game against the Chargers, linebacker Tamba Hali and wide receiver Dwayne Bowe have been ruled out.

This allows the Chiefs to rest some of their key players since they’ve already locked up a Wild Card spot. I wouldn’t be shocked if they announce some other key players taking a week off.
