We’ve seen a lot of whacky plays in this league that causes most of us to laugh or scratch our heads wondering how that even happened.

Titans safety Bernard Pollard had one of those plays today against the Houston Texans. Both of these teams are just trying to do everything they can to pick up a win today. It’s momentum going into the 2014 season in hopes of cracking the post-season next year.

The Titans were a team that I thought would slip under the radar and pick up at least a Wild Card berth. As the season continued on, their playoff chances started to slowly fade away. Now they have some great talent on that roster, so they’ll continue to rebuild. One person who they need to keep on that roster is hard hitting safety Bernard Pollard.

Pollard is one of the hardest hitting defensive players this league has seen in a long time. The guy is always looking to knock your head off whenever he squares up to make a play. Today against the Houston Texans, you can literally say that Pollard used his head.

Bernard helped out his teammate Akeem Ayers with an interception after a bullet from Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub bounced off his face mask and into Ayers’ arms.

Yup, it’s Week 17.
