2013 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Georgia Tech game preview, odds and prediction
By Jack Crosby
In the second contest of the bowl game schedule on Monday, the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl brings us a match up between the Ole Miss Rebels of the Southeastern Conference and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Ole Miss and head coach Hugh Freeze were dealt some high expectations coming into the season, with some even calling for them to compete for an SEC title with the wealth of recruits they’ve picked up recently.
However, they finished 7-5 overall and just 3-5 in the SEC, as things continue to develop. They come into this one riding a two-game losing skid, having dropped their last two to the SEC East champion Missouri Tigers and they were upset in the Egg Bowl by the rival Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Georgia Tech–just one year removed from an appearance in the ACC title game, albeit by default–come in with a similar 7-5 record. This team has been one that a lot can’t seem to figure out who exactly they are. They suffered through a three-game losing streak to Virginia Tech, BYU and Miami back in late September and early October, yet they had performances like blowout wins over Syracuse and the ACC Coastal Division champion Duke Blue Devils.
Which GT team exactly will show up on Monday?
Date: Dec. 30
Start Time: 3:15 PM ET
Location: Nashville, TN
Stadium: LP Field
TV Info: ESPN

Odds: Ole Miss -3
Prediction: Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze will have something up his sleeve to calm down the vaunted Georgia Tech triple-option offense, and the porous Georgia Tech defense won’t be able to handle the athleticism that’s on the Ole Miss offense. This could get ugly.
