The Seattle Seahawks are the best team in the NFC, they have home-field advantage throughout the postseason and their defense is perhaps one of the best we’ve ever seen. But they’re still not exempt from the shockwaves of Black Monday in the NFL as despite all the winning and the success, a coaching change may be made against their will.

Last night the Cleveland Browns fired head coach Rob Chudzinski and are now searching for the candidate that Joe Banner and Jimmy Haslam believe will provide the stability they preached about when they arrived last year. The first guy on their list is Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, as according to Adam Schefter, the Browns have requested an interview with Quinn during the Seahawks playoff bye week.

Coaches that are in the postseason right now can be interviewed for vacant head coaching positions, but only those who don’t have games the following week can be interviewed. So any coach on a Wild Card team is not able to be interviewed, but the first-round bye the Seahawks have allows for Quinn to be available for interviews.

Quinn’s defense, dubbed the Legion of Boom, is one of the best we’ve ever seen and may be on it’s way to a Super Bowl. That has gotten the coordinator a lot of attention and the Browns are wasting no time in lining themselves up to interview him before anyone else gets a chance.
