There may not be a harder game to bet on during Wild Card weekend than the matchup between the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles.

You’re getting an 11-5 Saints team against a 10-6 Eagles team. The Saints have lost three of their last five games, but did make the playoffs as the final seed in the NFC.

The Eagles, on the other-hand, have won seven of their last eight and are arguably one of the hotter teams in the NFL right now.

By the numbers, this is a very hard game to predict. The Saints have the second best passing attack in football, putting up 307.4 yards per game through the air courtesy of Drew Brees. They also boast the No. 2 passing defense in the NFL, giving up only 194.1 yards per game through the air.

New Orleans’ passing attack should be scary to the Eagles, especially considering they’re ranked dead last in the NFL, giving up 289.8 points through the air per game.

With that said, the Eagles have the best rushing attack in the league, running for 160.4 yards per game, and New Orleans is ranked No. 19 against the run.

I think at this point you call it a wash. Lots of points will be scored, and both offenses will find success in their own ways.

Bovada.com has the Eagles favored by three points (Eagles -3), and you’d have to assume that’s because they have the home field advantage.

It’s a night game in Philly, in December. It’s going to be close, but I’d suggest you take the Eagles to cover here.
