Eric Gordon went down against the Blazers back on December 21st, and he has missed three straight games with a hip injury. Gordon is the Pelicans’ leading scorer, so they will need him back if they want to be in contention for a playoff spot.

Well, according to Pelicans.com, he is set to return on Wednesday against the Timberwolves:

"Although he’s still experiencing some soreness from a Dec. 23 hard fall to the floor in Sacramento that caused him to miss the past three games, New Orleans Pelicans guard Eric Gordon will be back on the court tonight at Minnesota (7 p.m., Pelicans Radio Network). Gordon had been sidelined with a right hip contusion, the result of an awkward fall after being fouled by Sacramento’s Isaiah Thomas.“It’s going to be good to be back out there,” Gordon said after Wednesday morning’s shootaround at Target Center. “It was tough throughout this whole (recent stretch) to find a good time to play.”"

New Orleans went 2-1 in the stretch without him. If they can stay healthy and get more time together, the Pelicans could ride an impressive run to the playoffs in the second half of the season.

They still lead the league in creepy mascots.
