Although there was some speculation following Sunday that the Oakland Raiders may overhaul the coaching staff–again–it seems that they ultimately have decided to keep going forward with head coach Dennis Allen and staff. Allen will meet with Raiders brass on Monday to see if this can be confirmed.

There is a report now, however, from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport that Allen will be back in 2014, as will his assistant. But this report also indicates that 2014 will be their final shot to turn everything around in Oakland, or at least get it headed more in the right direction.

According to Rapoport, the Raiders are trying to give the assistants on staff just one-year extensions on their expiring contracts, which means that it would be do-or-die next season for the men in charge.

Basically, in Layman’s terms, no pressure or anything, Raiders coaches.
