Oakland Raiders to meet with head coach Dennis Allen on Monday

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen was able to come away from Black Monday hanging on to his job, but there is a still a chance that he could be let go heading in to the offseason. While it is strongly believed that Allen will be able to keep his job and return as the Raiders coach in 2014, he will find out for sure next Monday.

According to, Raiders owner Mark Davis is scheduled to meet with Allen next Monday to let his final decision be known. At that point, Allen will find out with 100 percent certainty whether he will get to spend another offseason looking to improve the franchise or f he will be searching for a new job.

Allen should be safe and learn that he will be staying with the team, but the Raiders have often been unpredictable so we will have to wait and see for sure.

My Vote is for the Coach. We need stability and with a shot talent in 2014 we are only looking up!

        I agree.

What the H 4? So we can see if Allen can go to 0 and 16? Hue Jackson in 1 season brought the team UP to 8 – 8, and they fired him. Call it crazy but progress is usually thought of as winning more games. Dennis Allen has made any improvement in Defense what so ever. Consistency you say, Allen has constituency, his coaching is consistently putting the Raiders in last place!

Frankly, with the roster they had, DA met my expectations. However now that they finally have money to spend on players. The bar will be rising next year. We need stability more then anything at this point and another coaching change will not do that. DA was willing to come coach here knowing that a major talent purge was going to need to happen. I think he deserves a chance with a team that has some players. He has more upside than some of our players will ever have.

Free Agency and the Draft position will be to our benefit.
Reggie is on the hot seat right now!
DA has to work with what he is dealt from Reggie. Maybe he has some input but Reggie needs a Home run after the Matt Flynn debacle!

4-12 is not the consistency I or any Raider Fan want. But never in the history of the Raiders were we ever saddled with. $70 million dollars of fat like we have been.
One more year and if the current regime isn’t at least 10-6 I’m on your side. Okay?
