The Tennessee Titans look to be undergoing some serious changes this offseason with Jake Locker likely on his way out among others like Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt. But the status of the team’s head coach remains up in the air and the clock is ticking on a decision to be made either way.

According to Titans beat reporter Jim Wyatt, the status of Munchak’s future with the Titans is up in the air and a decision to fire him can still be made as much as a decision to retain him can be.

The Titans weren’t joking when they said they were going to take their time in deciding what to do with Munchak this offseason and it’s clearly a tough decision. Munchak has been a part of the Titans organization dating way back to their years as the Oilers in Houston but the progress simply hasn’t been there over the last few years.

It’s still possible that the Titans will retain Munchak, and the extended wait on a decision seems to imply this. But the coaching candidates are starting to find jobs with other teams which means if the Titans wait too long, they might have a decision made for them by default.
