The Cincinnati Bengals are taking on the San Diego Chargers at home in an AFC Wild Card match up. They find themselves down early on in the game though. The Chargers marched 86 yards down the field on 12 plays in a drive that ate up nearly seven minutes of game clock.
The drive culminated in a five-yard touchdown run from undersized Danny Woodhead. he has three carries for 13 yards including the scoring run. He has also caught two passes for 14 yards.
Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is four-of-four passing for 45 yards. The Chargers as a team have ran for 57 yards so far in the game as well.
The Bengals haven’t played poorly so far in the game and it is still incredibly early. As we saw yesterday with the Indianapolis Colts-Kansas City Chiefs game, a seven point lead is nothing to overcome.
The Bengals are also a significantly better second quarter team.
