The Kansas City Chiefs thought they were going to coast to an AFC Divisional Round matchup with the Denver Broncos next week when they took a 38-10 lead over the Indianapolis Colts late in Saturday’s Wild Card game. But Andrew Luck carved out his legacy before our very eyes following that touchdown and the Chiefs ended up losing in the first-round of the playoffs 45-44.

As a result, Chiefs fans have been distraught over the last 24 hours following the absolutely stunning loss in a game they had more than wrapped up in the third quarter. The Kansas City Star perfectly captured the atmosphere and reaction of Chiefs fans with their Sunday morning headline.

The headline in the Kansas City Star was nothing fancy and there was no clever pun, al the New York Daily News. Rather, the paper simply ran with one vulgar headline that summed up the loss ever so perfectly.

The Chiefs thought they had snapped a 20 year playoff drought when they took that 38-10 lead, but Andy Reid’s clock management and Andrew Luck’s iconic plays will define what turned out to be a classic Wild Card game on Saturday.

The headline truly does say it all as not only was the game summed up in one short phrase, it’s captures how Chiefs fans are feeling 24 hours after their epic playoff upset.
