For many, tailgating is a way of life. There’s just something special about hanging with friends and family in the hours leading up to your favorite teams home game, complete with good food and ice cold beer.

But for those at Lambeau Field this weekend waiting to watch the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers battle in an NFC Wild Card playoff game, tailgating is the last thing on their mind.

With bone chilling temperatures pounding Wisconsin, ESPN reporter Kevin Seifert wanted to see how the diehard fans were spending the hours before  game time. He didn’t get much of an answer considering the parking lot looked like a ghost town, blanketed by snow.

The game time temperature is expected to be near five degrees with a wind chill that will drop towards -30. And while it’s not that cold as of yet – it’s still enough to take your breath away.

Now, in fairness the have been reports suggesting that the team was banning tailgating this weekend due to the freezing weather but we’ve seen no confirmation of that from the Packers organization.

Regardless, bur.
