Grizzlies at Pistons final score: Memphis dominates second half, blows out Detroit 112-84

The Memphis Grizzlies got 23 points and eight rebounds out of Jon Leuer as they dominated the second half en route to a 112-84 victory over the Detroit Pistons Sunday night.

Zach Randolph added 16 points, 16 rebounds and five assists while Mike Conley and former Piston Tayshaun Prince scored 15 points apiece.

The Pistons were led by Greg Monroe, who finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Andre Drummond had 15 points and 14 rebounds, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 14 points and Josh Smith added 13 points and nine boards.

After a very competitive first half which saw the Pistons take a 56-51 lead into the break, the Memphis Grizzlies clamped down in the second half and took the game over. They held the Pistons to just 11 third quarter points and 17 fourth quarter points, outscoring the Pistons 61-28 in the second half.

Ed Davis had 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Grizzlies’ bench scored 52 points compared to just 19 for the Pistons’ reserves.

Grizzlies’ swingman Tony Allen missed the game with a hand injury.

The Grizzlies are now 15-18 while the Pistons have lost 10 of their last 14 games and are now just 14-20.
