It was all over the media world on Saturday night that WWE legend ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair paid a visit to the San Francisco 49ers to give them a bit of a pep talk before their NFC Wild Card Playoff game with the Green Bay Packers on the road.

Well, something in that speech must have worked because the Niners walked out winners and will now head to Carolina to take on Steve Smith and the Carolina Panthers.

Now if you’re follow professional wrestling in any way, you know that it’s common knowledge that Ric Flair is billed as being from Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is considered a legend by the residents, not just in Charlotte, but in the entire state.

So you can imagine how some people in the state of North Carolina would feel a bit betrayed by Flair’s actions, giving a talk to a potential opponent.

You can put Smith on that list.

Smith was asked about what happened with Flair–whom he is good friends with–and he was not happy at all with what happened between his friend and the 49ers this past weekend.
