No. 1 Florida State completed its undefeated season with a win over the No. 2 Auburn Tigers in the BCS National Championship game. At one point it looked like the Seminoles were headed for a rough ending trailing 21-3 at one point in the second quarter. The Seminoles managed to get a touchdown before the end of the half to go into the break only trailing by 11 points.

The Seminoles managed to claw their way taking a 27-24 lead with 4:31 left in the game when Levonte Whitfield returned a kickoff 100 yards for the touchdown. Auburn score to regain the lead setting up a dramatic finish for the Seminoles.

Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jameis Winston drove down the field and had the Seminoles knocking on the door with seconds left. With 13 seconds left in the game, Winston completed a two-yard pass to Kelvin Benjamin for the go-ahead score.

We have video of Florida State radio announcer Gene Deckerhoff. It is unusual because we usually only hear the audio of these calls, but you can watch the call as it happens in the booth thanks to this video.
