Lakers at Mavericks final score: Dallas cruises 110-97

Dirk Nowitzki scored 27 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists as the Dallas Mavericks cruised past the Los Angeles Lakers 110-97 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas Tuesday night.

Vince Carter scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds off of the bench while Monta Ellis had 16 points, nine assists and five rebounds, DeJaun Blair added 15 points and nine rebounds and Jose Calderon had 12 points, eight assists and five steals.

The win snapped a four-game home losing streak for the Mavericks.

The Lakers were led by Jodie Meeks, who scored 24 points, dished out six assists, grabbed four rebounds and had four steals.

Kendall Marshall had 18 points, six assists and three rebounds, Pau Gasol had 15 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two blocks, Wesley Johnson poured in 17 points and Robert Sacre had seven points and 10 rebounds.

The Lakers continue to play without Kobe Bryant (left knee), Steve Nash (back/general soreness), Steve Blake (torn ulnar collateral ligament) and Jordan Farmer (torn left hamstring).

Despite the injuries, the Lakers cut the lead to four with 8:22 to go, but the Mavericks responded with a 12-3 run to put the game away.

The Mavericks improved to 20-15 while the Lakers fell to just 14-21.
