This has been one of the most anticipated announcements this year. Exactly who would make the cut for the defending Gold Medal winners, Team Canada? Today, we get that answer.

At a press conference in Toronto, Hockey Canada made their selections; a 25-man roster that will represent them at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

There were many players that were considered locks for the squad. Players like Steven Stamkos and Sidney Crosby were absolute no-brainers. However, there was one name left off of the roster; Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Martin St. Louis.

However, Team Canada is in much the same position as the Lightning is this season. There are so many talented players at their disposal and just not enough slots for everyone. Unfortunately, this means that tough decisions need to be made.

Here is a look at the complete roster for the Team Canada Men’s Ice Hockey Team courtesy of NHL.com.
