The Washington Redskins have reached out to Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and have officially met with him about the team’s head coaching vacancy. Washington NBC reporter Dianna Marie Russini confirmed rumors that the two sides we meeting and even confirmed that the Redskins have decided to take Gruden out on a date.

Russini failed to mention what the two were having, or what wine was being had, but the two are comfortable enough to be out in public together. The only question now is will Gruden and the Redskins decide to take this date to the next level or decide to be just friends.

Gruden has attracted interest from other teams around the NFL, so it’s doubtful that much progress was made tonight, although the Redskins are surely trying.

The night is still young, and Washington is the kind of date that would like to score on the first night, we’r just not sure if Jay Gruden is that kind of lady.
