Early on in the 2014 college football season, there are many intriguing out of conference matchups.

During the opening weekend, the Florida State Seminoles will take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the Alabama Crimson Tide and West Virginia Mountaineers will battle, the Boise State Broncos will take on the Ole Miss Rebels, the Georgia Bulldogs will host the Clemson Tigers, the Fresno State Bulldogs will take on the Southern Cal Trojans, the Wisconsin Badgers and LSU Tigers will tangle and the UCF Knights and Penn State Nittany Lions will play in Ireland.

One of the most intriguing non-opening weekend games will be between two teams who finished in the top 10. The Michigan State Spartans, who finished 13-1 and ranked third in the country will travel to Oregon to take on the Ducks. Oregon finished 10-2 and ranked ninth.

According to Chris Vannini of Coaching Search and The Only Colors, Michigan State has moved their game with Oregon from September 13 to September 6.

Vannini also suspects this could impact Michigan State’s opener against Western Michigan.
