When the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl last year, one of the first things they had to think about was how they’d work their payroll to bring guys back. They ended up letting go of some key players but still almost made the postseason in 2013, however big changes are still coming to the roster.
Despite being a staple on the Ravens defense his entire career, the team is not committed to Terrell Suggs in the offseason as general manager Ozzie Newsome has said the team will need to get together and discuss what they want to do with him in the offseason. While a contract extension is on the table in terms of options for Suggs future with the team, beat writer Aaron Wilson says cutting him could be in the cards as well.

The Ravens will likely make some changes this offseason after missing the playoffs in their post-Super Bowl season. Suggs has been a big part of the defense but the Ravens are trying to get younger on that side of the ball to recreate the dominant unit they had before.
Getting rid of Suggs could be a way to do that, but keeping around is an option the Ravens haven’t thrown away just yet.
