Chicago Bears’ second year receiver Alshon Jeffery had himself a spectacular year after suffering a couple injuries last year that sat him out a couple games.

I figured he did enough to receive Pro Bowl honors but didn’t make the cut the first time around. There was always hopes of players removing themselves from the game that features the best players in the league and that’s exactly what happened.

Alshon Jeffery is now a Pro Bowler.

According to Rich Campbell on Twitter, Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) will be replaced by Alshon Jeffery on the Pro Bowl roster. Jeffery finished second behind Calvin Johnson in the NFC for receiving yards.

Jeffery brought in 89 receptions for 1,421 receiving yards, seven touchdowns and two games where he recorded 200 plus yards receiving. He was apart of the best wide receiver combo in the league with Pro Bowler Brandon Marshall.

This is the first time two Chicago Bears receivers were ever selected to the Pro Bowl.

Here’s a highlight package from YouTube of Chicago’s Pro Bowl receiver, Alshon Jeffery.
