Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden is headed to the Washington Redskins to take their head coach position. That creates a vacancy at the offensive coordinator position for the Bengals and they’re reportedly interested in just promoting running backs coach Hue Jackson to offensive coordinator instead of looking outside for a replacement.
With Jay Gruden in place, Hue Jackson will likely remain in Cincinnati as offensive coordinator. Won't go to Redskins, I'm told.

So, again, Hue Jackson isn't officially offensive coordinator for the Bengals yet, but the team and Jackson expect that will happen soon.

Jackson has a wealth of NFL experience. He was the Redskins offensive coordinator in 2003, Atlanta Falcons in 2007, then the Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator in 2010. He then served as the Raiders head coach in 2011. The problem is none of these positions lasted more than a season.
