The San Diego Chargers are preparing themselves to take on the Denver Broncos in hopes of walking away with another victory. It would be their second playoff win in a row, knocking off two of the top teams in the AFC.

But this is the post-season and Peyton Manning is a completely different beast. Yeah he lost in his post-season debut with the Broncos last year, but he’s settled in a bit more and has had the best year of his entire career.

Anyways, San Diego’s win against the AFC North division champions was huge. They showed the entire league that they are for real and can compete, but may have to do so without a key piece of their offensive line. Yesterday a colleague of mine reported that the Chargers had Ryan Mathews and center Nick Hardwick miss practice.

According to the Union-Tribune San Diego, Hardwick suffered a concussion against the Cincinnati Bengals after playing just 10 snaps. He currently remains in the league’s concussion protocol and has until tomorrow to be cleared for this weekends game.
