The decision by Louisville Cardinals athletic director Tom Jurich to bring back disgraced former head coach Bobby Petrino to replace Charlie Strong who left for the head coaching job at Texas was met with a lot of applause at Louisville and a lot of criticism outside of the program.

Petrino’s motorcycle crash which shed light on his affair with a young staffer who reported directly to him led more credence to the belief that Petrino was a less than savory character.

Louisville’s men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino was involved with his own sex scandal that sounded like it came right from a Lifetime original movie, so the pairing of Petrino and Pitino with the Cardinals could be quite the scene in downtown Louisville.

It may even resemble a popular Saturday Night Live sketch turned movie starring Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan as overzealous club-goers and all-around creeps. Petrino and Pitino have been the butt of many jokes, but this may take the cake.
