The Kansas City Chiefs have a number of key players that are set to become free agents in the offseason, so they will need to determine which players to bring back and who they should let walk. When it comes to wide receiver/kick returner Dexter McCluster, it appears that the team will make an attempt to re-sign him.

McCluster had one of the best seasons of his professional career in 2013 and he has proven to be a valuable player on the offensive side of the ball and special teams.

Because of his diversity and ability to help the Chiefs out in multiple aspects of the game, the team would like to bring him back.

From the Kansas City Star:

"McCluster posted career highs in several receiving categories but was more valuable on special teams, where he returned two punts for touchdowns. He is a free agent, but the Chiefs will likely make an effort to bring him back."

Whether or not the two sides can agree to a deal remains to be seen, but you would have to believe McCluster would like to be part of the team in 2014.
