When the Cleveland Cavaliers made the trade to acquire Luol Deng from the Chicago Bulls, some people thought they’d continue to buy in order to fill holes and make a title run. Since acquiring Deng, the Cavs have been absolutely silent on the trade front and we now know why.

Despite rumors that they’d be buyers as the deadline approached, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Cavs have no interested in pursuing anymore trades at the moment and would rather have their team learn to play together as the roster is at the moment.

This is good news for Cavs fans not looking to see a team meshing reasonably well blown up by a front office who gets trade happy. They landed Deng and are now 2-0 with him on the team. The Eastern Conference has a lot of playoff spots up for grabs, so the Cavs are likely best off trying to make it work with what they have, because the assets they possess are hardly anything to be disappointed with.
