The Minnesota Vikings are continuing their search for a new head coach to take over for the recently fired Leslie Frazier, and they will be interviewing a key coordinator of a team that remains in the playoffs.

According to reports, the Vikings are set to interview San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman on Saturday, just one day before the 49ers meet the Carolina Panthers in the divisional round of the postseason.

From Adam Schefter of ESPN:

Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is currently the favorite to receive the job, but Roman could have something to say about that and change the Vikings plan.

After seeing how Roman has been able to help with the development of Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick in San Francisco, he could be the kind of guy they want running the show as they desperately search for improved quarterback play.
