49ers, Seahawks will meet for first time in playoff history

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks were both victorious in the divisional round of the postseason, which means that they will be facing each other for the third time this season. However, this meeting will hold some historic value for the NFC West rivals.

When the 49ers make the trip to CenturyLink Field to take on the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game, it will be the first time in playoff history that the two teams have ever met.

To make things more interesting, a trip to Super Bowl XLVIII will be on the line and the stakes couldn’t be higher for the first postseason meeting between the two franchises.
