The typical buzz and excitement of an NFL playoff game is accompanied by a measure of nervousness in Denver. One year ago the Denver Broncos had Super Bowl aspirations, only to have them shattered by Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens. This year is similar, as the Broncos once again have home field throughout the playoffs.

Denver is Broncos Country, and right now it is an uneasy bunch. That does nothing to stifle Broncos pride, however. In anticipation of today’s divisional playoff match-up with the San Diego Chargers, you were sure to see lots of orange and blue across the Rocky Mountain Region this week.

Even the Denver International Airport got in on the act (courtesy of Benjamin Hochman on Twitter):

DIA and all those who proudly wore their orange and blue this week are hoping that this won’t be the only week for them to do so. It is up to Peyton Manning and company to handle their business against Philip Rivers, his bolo tie, and the surging Chargers to allow the state to breathe a collective sigh of relief.
