The San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers are squaring off in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs. The Panthers spurned the trend of having a singer or some musical themed reality TV show contestant come out and sing the national anthem.

Instead they went with renowned trumpeter Jesse McGuire, who played “The Star Spangled Banner” before the game. It was an incredible performance and really got the crowd fired up

Kami Mattioli of Sporting News was on the sideline and posted video of the performance on YouTube. The only problem is the person talking during the video and performance calling it a “guaranteed crowd pleaser,” which it was.
