Panthers’ Captain Munnerlyn headbutts 49ers’ Michael Crabtree (GIF)

The San Francisco 49ers are playing the Carolina Panthers in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs. Things got chippy early in the game between Panthers cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

Crabtree was blocking Munnerlyn and pretty much getting the best of him. It looked like he got a little shot in after Kaepernick slid down behind him, though he couldn’t have known.

Munnerlyn follows it up with his own late shove and Crabtree is backing away since the play is over. Crabtree looks like he is letting it go, but Munnerlyn didn’t. He comes after Crabtree and gives him the slightest of headbutts. It was more like he got in his face then pushed his helmet into his once they were already touching.
