The Cincinnati Bengals are currently preparing for the offseason, where they will be looking to improve their roster and build on the success that they had during the 2013-14 NFL season. Cincinnati has a promising young running back in Giovani Bernard currently on the team, but that may not stop them from adding to the backfield.

According to Ryan Lownes of Bleacher Report and Draft Breakdown, there are rumblings that the Bengals could be interested in Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden, who is set to be a free agent in the offseason.

Lownes wrote:

McFadden has been injury prone throughout his professional career, but he certainly has a level of talent that could improve the Bengals offence were he to stay healthy.

With a running back duo of McFadden and Bernard, the Bengals would have an opportunity to have a rounded out rushing attack that would compliment their passing game with star wide receiver A.J. Green.

Whether or not the Bengals actually pursue McFadden in free agency remains to be seen, but it will certainly be something worth keeping an eye on.
