NBA rumors are usually always swirling and that means with the deadline approaching we can expect a heavy dose of rumors pertaining to certain bubble players. These are players that may not be traded this year but will no doubt be the subject of much debate as the February 20th deadline approaches.

One of those names we can start to kick around is Kevin Love, the tortured Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star who seemingly can’t wait to bolt out of town at the first chance he’s afforded. While the Wolves face the question of whether they should trade him or take their chances on re-signing him, there is already talk of where Love will play next.

Spoiler alert: it’s not anywhere near Minnesota.

Sam Smith, long time writer for the Chicago Bulls, ponders what the Wolves should do with Love and notes the two frontrunners to land him in 2015 are not the Wolves or Bulls but the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

"Love, in the top four this season in scoring and rebounding, is said to be favoring the Lakers or the Knicks in free agency in 2015 when both will have money for perhaps two free agents."

Chicago is a team hoping they might be in on the Love sweepstakes, but right now the rumors of where he’ll play next are literally going coast-to-coast. The Knicks are a new one in the rumors as everyone has been predicting Love would head back home to southern California the first chance he gets.

No matter where he ends up, it’s starting to sound more and more like Love is already checking out of Minnesota and fans had better start preparing themselves for the summer of 2015,  when Love will likely opt out of his current contract with the Wolves and leave them behind.
