Nick Foles is going to the Pro Bowl. After the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs, the results of the AFC games have opened up a spot for the Eagles QB, despite him playing in the NFC.

With both the Broncos and Patriots advancing to the AFC Championship game, meaning one of them will drop out of the Pro Bowl in preparation for the Super Bowl there is a space to be filled, and Foles was the first alternative at the position. He may not be in the only alternative QB having to book flights to Hawaii, depending on whether Russell Wilson can steer the Seahawks to the Meadowlands, and thus free up another roster spot.

After a 10 game season that included 27 touchdowns and only two picks, Foles could count himself unlucky to be named in the Pro Bowl squad alongside fellow Eagles LeSean McCoy and Jason Peters (though Peters has withdrawn and will be replaced by Texans tackle Duane Brown).

Replacements will also be needed at running back – one of Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore won’t be making the trip- and guard, where either Logan Mankins or Louis Vasquez will have better things to be doing that weekend.
